|TO||:||THE THOMASIAN COMMUNITY|
|FROM||:||THE OFFICE OF THE VICE RECTOR FOR FINANCE|
|SUBJECT||:||FEES ADJUSTMENTS AND REFUNDS DUE TO THE PANDEMIC|
|DATE||:||25 August 2020|
We take this opportunity to thank our stakeholders, particularly our students and their parents, for bearing with us as we try to achieve the necessary balancing act in this time of COVID-19 pandemic, i.e. continuing the delivery of services while safeguarding the safety and health of our personnel.
Considering that we are a comprehensive university, catering to a large population and offering varying programs, we were under very challenging conditions (resulting from the quarantine levels and their corresponding restrictions on work arrangements) that we sought to address. One of these is the refund of fees.
We carefully reviewed the refund computation for 2nd term, AY 2019-2020 and the corresponding adjustments for 1st term, AY 2020-2021. Previous assumptions as regards university programs, activities, and services, which served as bases for our Table of Fees, have since been modified in view of the official reports on our current situation at local and national levels.
In view of the foregoing, we would like to announce the following:
|A||Students who graduated at the end of the 2nd Term of AY 2019- 2020 or Special Term of AY 2019-2020, and had paid fully their accounts for that term||x||x|
|B||Students who completed the academic requirements for graduation but have outstanding balances for the 2nd Term of AY 2019-2020 or Special Term of AY 2019-2020||x|
|C||Students who have fully settled their accounts for the 2nd Term of AY 2019-2020, Special Term of AY 2019-2020, and for the 1st Term AY 2020-2021||x||x||x|
|D||Students who had fully settled their accounts for the 2nd Term of AY 2019-2020 and Special Term AY 2019-2020 but have remaining balance for 1st Term AY 2020-2021||x|
|E||Students with remaining balances on the fees for the 2nd Term of AY 2019-2020, for Special Term AY 2019-2020, and for the 1st Term AY 2020-2021||x|
|F||Students who have fully settled their accounts for the 2nd Term AY 2019-2020 and Special Term AY 2019-2020 but are not currently enrolled||x||x|
|G||Students whose refunds exceed all their remaining balances||x||x||x|
|1||The amount of the refund shall be applied/credited to the student’s outstanding balance or to his/her account if he/she has no remaining balance.|
|2||The amount of the refund shall be transferred to a declared bank account (of the student or parent/guardian) according to the details provided ( IMPORTANT NOTICE: Applicable only to those with BDO, BPI, China Bank, Metrobank, and Security Bank accounts)|
|3||The amount of the refund shall be received by check to be claimed onsite at the UST Cashier’s Office, Main Building (2nd floor).|
We ask for your patience and appreciate your understanding.

RE: STUDENT PORTAL MOBILE APPS
FROM: OFFICE OF THE REGISTRAR
The Office of the Registrar, in collaboration with the Santo Tomas e-Service Providers (STePs), is pleased to announce that the student portal has now a mobile application. For your easy access to the student portal, you are advised to download the applicable link below:
The existing features of the Student Portal Mobile App allow you to do the following anytime, anywhere:
The myUSTe portal is a system accessible via the Internet and is intended to include all the functionalities of K.I.O.S.K., the intranet facility for accessing student information. To use the myUSTe portal, a student must be officially enrolled, and he/she must activate his/her account on-line at http://myuste.ust.edu.ph/student.
In the account activation, he/she will be required to supply his/her Identification Number and Date of Birth. One must ensure that he/she has already chosen a new Password to replace the default password generated by the system.
Using one's IDENTIFICATION NUMBER
The student ID number is automatically generated by the system and is permanently assigned to the student upon confirmation of enrolment in the University. This is printed on the student's ID card and on the his/her copy of Registration Form using the format YYYY-999999 (e.g. 1991-050299). By simply dropping the hyphen (1991050299), the student number serves as his/her username in accessing the myUSTe portal. One's login account therefore, cannot be customized or changed.
Using one's Date of Birth to Activate the Account
The date of birth a student entered/declared in the Admission system when he/she initially applied to the University is used as his/her initial password in the myUSTe portal. A student must supply this exact date of birth in the activation page in the format MMDDYYYY (e.g. 04261975) [April 26, 1975].
Entering and Verifying the New Password
The new password a student will supply should be easy to remember but difficult for others to guess since it will be used to access his/her information. The new password should be 8 to 12 characters long and preferably composed of numbers and letters. The system supports case sensitivity so it is also recommended that one enters his/her password in mixed cases (e.g. Cr8tivM3).
If a student forgot his/her password, simply click the "Forgot your password?" link and supply the information required. The new password will be emailed to him/her. A student may change his/her password again once he/she has logged on to the system.
You may check the Frequently Asked Questions if you have troubles activating your myUSTe account.
